OUR STORY

One beautiful Sunday afternoon, two big, red-headed tennis players (turned golfers) agreed that they wanted to do something special to give back to their local community. So, they decided to create a charity golf tournament. But this wasn’t going to be just any golf tournament. No, this was to be THE TOURNAMENT.
And now, here we are, on the precipice of something great. And we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

NICK'S CAMP

Hosted at Camp Boggy Creek, N.I.C.K.’S CAMP is the five days of summer camp that is paid for by the Chiera Foundation. N.I.C.K.’S CAMP stands for Nothing’s Impossible for Cancer Kids and is named after Nicholas R. Chiera our father who passed away from cancer back in July of 1989.

IN JACOB'S SHOES

The Jacob S. Zweig Foundation, Inc. d/b/a In Jacob’s Shoes was formed in honor of the life of Jacob Samuel Zweig who was tragically killed at the age of seventeen on November 15, 2008. In his short life, Jacob touched and inspired so many people. His friendships spanned the globe.

In Jacob’s Shoes honors the love and encouragement Jacob gave to all who knew him. We will strive to continue Jacob’s way of making a difference in the lives of others. Jacob’s smile, charisma, laughter, hugs and huge heart will never be forgotten. Jacob’s innate and selfless gift of helping and giving to others will live on In Jacob’s Shoes.

The mission of In Jacob’s Shoes is to provide new and gently used shoes, school supplies and athletic gear to local children in need. Grants are also awarded for camp, aftercare, sports and enrichment programs.
